Lisa Comes to You

Lisa Rice, C.I.D. bring years of experience right to your home or office. Lisa will be asking lots of questions because she wants your home to represent your life and for you to love it! The initial appointment typically lasts about an hour. Larger projects may require more than one appointment.

Then Lisa will go to work creating a design vision that matches top quality home furnishings products with the lifestyle look you desire whether it is traditional, transitional or contemporary. She will work with you from the idea stage all the way through delivery and installation of products and furnishings.

Lisa will send you a package to read through before she comes. This gives you an idea of what to expect and a little homework to do.

Investment

People are often shy to discuss a budget but for both parties it is by far one of the most important aspects of your initial consultation. You may not know how much things cost and we can work with you to determine a budget that accomplishes your overall project goals. You may choose to work on one room at a time or the entire home.

The investment in your home will determine what can be included in the project. Fortunately, we have a vast array of products at different price points to help fit in your budget. As designers we also have access to many to the trade only furnishings for those who prefer a fully customized space.

Making Selections

Every project presents its own unique set of circumstances. Lisa prides herself on working side by side with you to accomplish your design vision. She’ll discuss the specifics of your project, help determine the budget and make some preliminary design suggestions.

No project is too big or too small. Depending on the size of the project, she may be able to get started with just one meeting. Back at her studio, interior designer Lisa Rice will begin to plan out the space she is decorating and start to make selections to suit your requirements.

Design Plan

Lisa Rice will return to your home or office once her design plan is complete. She will bring a floorplan and samples representing the furnishings she has chosen for your design. Decorating Den Interiors feature a very wide selection of furniture and furnishings including rugs, lighting, custom drapery, wallpaper and so much more.

As the furnishings are ordered from a wide range of vendors, items arrive separately and are stored in the warehouse facility until everything has arrived at which time an installation date can be booked. Some things may arrive within weeks, some will take several months. Lisa will update you periodically when necessary.

Final Reveal

You’ve waited a long time for installation day, surely the most exciting day for both you and Lisa! It is advisable for Lisa to be left alone in your home to supervise the sub-contractors who will install window treatments and hang light fixtures. If you were having paint and wallpaper installed, that may happen earlier to avoid damage to your new furniture.

Lisa will call you to return home when everything is perfect. There is nothing nicer than having left your home in the morning then returning later to see the final reveal. Enjoy your new space — hiring an interior designer is worth every cent!
